Having documentation of your experience can feel very precious, on many levels. Some may prefer not to have anything like that and enjoy the moment in its temporary nature, while others adore to have a trace to revisit. How to do that is up to imagination and preferences.

Some basic yet very useful and beautiful ways of doing this consist simply of writing notes during the experience, or recording the audio, both methods I enjoy helping with. It’s relevant to know that sometimes most of the journey can be silent, and that can actually be great: words stimulates a part of our mind that is usually the one ruling our daily life, a part that, for a change, during a psychedelic experience, we are trying not to let take it over, in order to finally… open the doors of perception, really. Therefore the notes to take during the trip, or the audio to record, might not be much, yet a couple of significant sentences can symbolise a lot. Sometimes feeling the need for recording or writing might influence your freedom in the experience too much, while other times instead it might amplify the joy and satisfaction, during and after the trip, instead. It is something very personal and unpredictable. What we can know for sure is that there would always be the chance to adapt during the trip: if you ask me to take notes beforehand, but along the way prefer for me not to anymore, then, of course, I won’t.

Also drawing or painting during your experience could be a way to leave a trace of it, a sort of documentation as well, a memory, and of course would also be a special source of stimulation; it’s a process I can facilitate and guide, if you’d wish so, and for which I can provide art supplies.

Another way of documenting your journey can be, of course, photographs and videos.

HAVING YOUR JOURNEY DOCUMENTED BY AN ARTIST PHOTOGRAPHER

To have your trip documented with photographs would leave you with a very special, tangible memory. For those who are interested in this idea, in Myr world there are three fantastic artist photographers that would love to take these pictures of you, sweetly joining this special experience. They are, first of all, among my very best friends. They are people I know extremely well and who I trust to bits: I would only allow, in such a vulnerable moment, someone who I know would profoundly respect your journey. They all are very kind souls, aware of their movements, smart and sensitive, they know when to talk and when not to — and their capacity to click on the camera at the very right moment and from the very right angle remains forever astonishing to me. My joy and fierceness of collaborating with these amazing artists are overwhelming, and I hope you can have a taste of their qualities by scrolling down on their presentations here.

Obviously, I am available and happy to guide you through this choice, in case you’d be interested. I’d love to help you understand which of them might fit best your experience, depending on their persona and on what they do, and, above all, of course, we could talk about whether this is a good idea for you or not, and understand more in detail which service you might want.

In fact, Chiara, Cat and Carolee could give you much more than “just” the pictures. They can print them, arrange them in little zines, art books, or simple and elegant prints. They could interview you, and integrate that into the book, or make a video as well. Options are open. They have different skills and talking we could see who could be the best for you.

Costs are available on request and depend on the final chosen service.

MEETING MYR PHOTOGRAPHERS

Chiara Francesca Rizzuti (she/her)

@rougeroar

I am a human being living in Bologna (Italy), who is used to take analogue pictures and to write, sometimes.

After several courses and studies in Visual Arts, Cinema, Photography and Semiotics, currently, I am studying Cultural Anthropology in order to develop a deeper consciousness about our society and, hopefully, how it could be a better place. I am interested in studies around gender issues, especially feminism and sexuality, and about the capitalism crisis, climate change and, of course, psychedelics.

I consider myself a very sensitive and kind person, who can take care of others and can fully understand how to manage delicate situations, such as this one you are going to be in. Your trip will be like a gentle dance between Eta, you and me. My favourite words are: sorry; thank you.

Caterina Nasini (she/her)

Caterina Nasini has been photographing under the artist name Caterana Caterina was born in Florence (Italy) and moved to London in 2013, where she was confronted with new experiences and cultural influences that changed her deeply.
She has been a teacher at the London Institute of Photography since 2016.

She is fascinated by passersby stories and fantasises about being invited into their world.

Her work is heavily influenced by music and films, cinematic in look and infused with a sense of melancholy and stillness. She is an observer of moments and details and silently examines the interaction between people and spaces, her photos catching instants ‘in between’, where a narrative is just beginning or perhaps continuing… Documenting your journey would be that chance of being invited into a tiny, private universe to explore together, as I discreetly move around you.

I will be honoured to witness and document such an experience.
